Tracking your DNA via a Bio-signature

As if we are not being tracked enough.....on the heels of a recent article documenting how law enforcement is trying to use street lights to track you down, we get this article documenting attempts to track us via DNA.  The article is vague and details lack, so it appears to be more fear mongering by the WND staff, which published this article.  Nevertheless, biotechnology tracking systems are being developed, particularly of interest is the likes of an implantable device like 'veri-chip.'

FEDS WANT TO TRACK YOUR DNA LIKE A LICENSE PLATE

Seek 'biosignature' spying ability to 'identify, locate specific individuals'

The federal government doesn’t just want the ability to track down your car; it wants to be able to track down your body as well.
Just as details are emerging about a controversial, nationwide vehicle-surveillance database, WND has learned the federal government is planning an even more invasive spy program using “physiological signatures” to track down individuals.  The goal of this research is to detect – as well as analyze and categorize – unique traits the government can exploit to “identify, locate and track specific individuals or groups of people.”
According to the program’s statement of objectives, “The scope of human-centered [intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, or ISR] research spans the complete range of human performance starting at the individual molecular, cellular, genomic level.”
Documents WND located through routine database research reveal the ability to follow people by detecting “certain characteristics of operational interest” is designed for U.S. military and intelligence-gathering superiority.
It remains unknown when such capabilities might transition to the realm of domestic counterterrorism or law enforcement operations; however, the feds – through the Air Force Research Lab, or AFRL – are recruiting private-sector assistance in order to make this “biosignature” spying a reality.
Existing ISR systems are “ideal for identifying and tracking entities such as aircraft and vehicles, but are less capable of identifying and tracking the human,” the lab says in a planning document known as a Broad Agency Announcement, or BAA.
The Human-Centered ISR Leveraged Science & Technology Program will seek to develop, with outside help, technologies that the government can use “to identify, locate and track humans of interest within the operational environment,” according to solicitation No. BAA-HPW-RHX-2014-0001.
Research specific to fusing and analyzing sensor data has undergone consistent growth, but such efforts have been “system-centric” and fail to “adequately address the human element.”
This new research scheme seeks to strengthen the ability of intelligence analysts by placing the human component at the forefront of their efforts.
AFRL’s research could have implications for a variety of domains, such as air, space and cyberspace, it says. The program’s outcome also will broadly apply to other U.S. Department of Defense organizations and the intelligence community.
A second component of the AFRL initiative is the Human Trust and Interaction Program, which will conduct research into human-to-human and human-to-machine interactions.
This program segment entails several sub-areas, including Trust and Suspicion, which will focus on “the recognition of suspicious activities in the cyberspace realm.”
This segment will examine open-source data such as social media. It also will continue to leverage “more traditional intelligence sources.”
AFRL says it anticipates awarding three or four initial contracts for the overall initiative, which has an estimated program value of about $50 million.
The goal of this and other AFLR programs typically start out as largely theoretical, similar to the approach taken by the more widely known Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, which created ARPANET, the defense-system predecessor to the Internet.
The Department of Homeland Security, on the other hand, merely has to solicit bids from industry for a National License Plate Recognition, or NLPR, database system.
While DHS is soliciting this service specifically for Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, functions, the breadth of this NLPR service encompasses the gathering of transportation-movement data from major metropolitan areas nationwide.
This database, which would be fed with information gleaned from multiple sources, would “track vehicle license plate numbers that pass through cameras or are voluntarily entered into the system,” according to the program solicitation.
The vehicle tracking-data then would be “uploaded to share with law enforcement.”
The database will be compatible with smart phone technology, enabling law enforcement offices to download thousands of listings – as well as close-up photos – of vehicle license plates.
Once DHS secures this service, the contractor must retain and make available data from previous months, as well as update the system with “new and unique” data monthly.
DHS anticipates awarding a one-year contract with four one-year options by May 14. It did not disclose the estimated cost.

Police State: La Americana style

The DHS also recently awarded the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority $7 million dollars to outfit its buses with high tech 360 degree surveillance cameras. The federal agency is simultaneously supporting the rollout of ‘Intellistreets’ lighting systems that double as surveillance hubs which can record conversations.
The large leaks by NSA contractor Edward Snowden shook the world and gave the public a glimpse into just what enormous amount of surveillance is being performed on the unsuspecting public.  There has always been a trade off between liberty and security; however, in today's digital age, the line has been blurred to the point of in-distinction.  There's so much data and surveillance everywhere , one practically doesn't even know where it starts and stops.

The Department of Homeland Security has been building a national database of information for some time, of course under the notion to track terrorists around the globe.  The ability to use this database in real time though takes on a new dimension if a police officer can simply use their smart phone, take a picture of a car's plates, and then immediately know who you are.  The newest technology in google glasses apparently can do the same thing.  Additionally, as this article points out, cameras and listening devices are also now being incorporated into street lights!

Forget about anonymity!

Homeland Security to Activate ‘National

License Plate Recognition Database’

The Department of Homeland Security is set to activate a national license plate tracking system that will be shared with law enforcement, allowing DHS officers to take photos of any license plate using their smartphone and upload it to a database which will include a “hot list” of “target vehicles”.

Image: License Plate Scanning Camera (Wikimedia Commons).
The details are included in a PDF attachment uploaded yesterday to the Federal Business Opportunities website under a solicitation entitled “National License Plate Recognition Database.”
The system will “track vehicle license plate numbers that pass through cameras or are voluntarily entered into the system from a variety of sources (access control systems, asset recovery specialists, etc.) and uploaded to share with law enforcement” in order to help locate “criminal aliens and absconders.”
In other countries that have activated license plate tracking networks, such as the United Kingdom, political activists have been targeted by having their vehicles added to a “hotlist” after attending protests. One example led to a man being questioned under anti-terror laws after he traveled to take part in an anti-war demonstration.
As the image above illustrates, the cameras are also used by local governments in Australia to keep records of people who violate parking restrictions. Critics of the system in Australia have condemned it as “a Pandora’s box for abuse of power, mistakes and illegal disclosure,” stressing that the technology allows authorities to record “your number plate at a certain time and location,” allowing police to “compile an extraordinary amount of data about you. This includes your name, address, contact details, driving history and licence status.”
“Innocent people are increasingly being treated with suspicion due to the tiny chance that some offence may be committed,” writes David Jancik.
The DHS’ database will allow authorities “to determine where and when the vehicle has traveled,” using data compiled “from a variety of sources nationwide,” including “metropolitan areas” within the United States, suggesting the system may be linked in with regular surveillance cameras as it is in the UK.
The system will also allow DHS officials to take a picture of any license plate via their smartphone, upload it to the database and immediately receive an alert if the plate is on the watchlist.
“The NLPR data service should provide details on clarity of photos provided. The Government would prefer a close-up of the plate and a zoomed out image of the vehicle,” states the solicitation.
The system must also have the capability to “flag license plates and conduct searches anonymously so that other law enforcement agencies may not have access.”
Given rampant concerns that the Department of Homeland Security, which is ostensibly introducing this system in the name of catching illegal aliens, is in fact an increasingly bloated federal bureaucracy designed to target the American people, the notion of the DHS enjoying access to a fully integrated nationwide license plate tracking grid is chilling, especially given the fact that the agency has funded reports which characterize “liberty lovers” as potential terrorists.
“Do not kid yourself. This is tracking of an individual that can be accessed at a whim,” writes James Smith. “Yearly, officers are terminated for accessing the LEDS/NCIC database for looking into the histories of ex-lovers, future spouses, and potential sons/daughters-in-law. And with license plate tracking toy (not a tool), they will know where you are, as long as you have driven into the cross hairs of this new weapon for tyranny.”

National Counterterrorism Center: Holder Gives Order to Record your Online Activity

It's happening all around us.  Everything we do.  Everything we say.  All being stored, recorded, and Used----for our good use of course.  I mean what could possibly go wrong here with a little more information on innocent Americans?

Holder order gives feds access to citizens' data

Remember when government needed something called a warrant or even probable cause to look at your records?  Good times, good times.  I’m nostalgic for the halcyon days of, er, February of this year, before the Attorney General of the United States signed off on an order allowing the government to access pretty much everything it wanted in the name of counterterrorism.

The Wall Street Journal found out about the order and got a FOIA request to force its exposure: "Top U.S. intelligence officials gathered in the White House Situation Room in March to debate a controversial proposal. Counterterrorism officials wanted to create a government dragnet, sweeping up millions of records about U.S. citizens—even people suspected of no crime.…

The rules now allow the little-known National Counterterrorism Center … can copy entire government databases—flight records, casino-employee lists, the names of Americans hosting foreign-exchange students and many others. The agency has new authority to keep data about innocent U.S. citizens for up to five years, and to analyze it for suspicious patterns of behavior.

Mark (Zuckerburg) of the Beast-Facebook Style?

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Revelation 13:16-17

And we thought it would have to be done by force!  The preceding picture and article below displays a technology that should alarm anyone who realizes the potential of this face recognition software technology would have in the wrong hands.  The ability of technology has dramatically changed the face of our existence in the 21st century in how we interact with each other, but that amazing benefit has also created a similarly monumental and easy way to target and police mankind--especially if the sheeple consent to being watched.

The latest technology allows people to sign up to receive special offers from a business by just walking in the store.  How?  By having their face read by a camera, matched against their online facebook profile, and then having a special offer sent to their phone.

Sure, this may not be a major threat to our privacy now--during times of relative peace, but is it not too difficult to imagine a scenario where cameras like these match our faces to a national database to track our whereabouts in times of crises?  We do live in the nuclear age after all, 9/11/2001 type attack with suit case bombs could after all happen at any moment.  Can you imagine then the calls for police 1984 Big brother security then after such an attack?

Perhaps in the end, the mark of the beast prophecy, like the late Roman empires decline, will come from within.  Perhaps we will submit almost voluntarily at first to this technology long before its ultimate deadly use against mankind.  For those of us with common sense in this technology age, perhaps we should tread more carefully, assuming that just because it is easier does not mean it is good and that just because we live in a democracy now does not mean we always will.

The Facebook camera that can recognise you every time you walk into a shop

Shoppers could soon be automatically recognised when they walk into a shop using a controversial new camera.
Called Facedeals, the camera uses photos uploaded to Facebook to recognise people as they walk in.
Shoppers who agree to use the system, which has not been developed with Facebook, will be offered special deals.

A promotional video created to promote the concept shows drinkers entering a bar, and then being offerend cheap drinks as they are recognised.
'Facebook check-ins are a powerful mechanism for businesses to deliver discounts to loyal customers, yet few businesses—and fewer customers—have realized it,' said Nashville-based advertising agency Redpepper.

They are already trialling the scheme in firms close to their office.
'A search for businesses with active deals in our area turned up a measly six offers.
'The odds we’ll ever be at one of those six spots are low (a strip club and photography studio among them), and the incentives for a check-in are not nearly enticing enough for us to take the time.
'So we set out to evolve the check-in and sweeten the deal, making both irresistible.
'We call it Facedeals.'

The Facedeal camera can identify faces when people walk in by comparing Facebook pictures of people who have signed up to the service

Facebook recently hit the headlines when it bought face.com, an Israeli firm that pioneered the use of face recognition technology online.
The social networking giant uses the software to recognise people in uploaded pictures, allowing it to accurately spot friends.
The software uses a complex algorithm to find the correct person from their Facebook pictures

The Facebook camera requires people to have authorised the Facedeals app through their Facebook account.

This verifies your most recent photo tags and maps the biometric data of your face.
The system then learns what a user looks like as more pictures are approved.

This data is then used to identify you in the real world.

Bilderberg & Armageddon: The March to the New World Order

15 Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
Revelation 6:15

With 7 Billion people on the planet, there are bound to be leaders that rise and abuse the power and wealth that has either been earned or given to them.  Some of the most powerful political and business leaders have been getting together to discuss the current state of Geo-political affairs for some time at the Bilderberg Conference and it is here they no doubt begin to form more secure political alliances in which to preserve their power and influence.

What is Bilderberg?
So what exactly is Bilderberg?  It’s neither an organization nor a lobby. The “Bilderberg Meetings,” as they dub themselves in their (apparently) official website www.bilderbergmeetings.com, is a “by-invitation-only” club of around 140 very high-power people from business, finance, oil, politics, media, industry, academia and nobility who come together in a very private no-media / no cameras / extremely-tight-security surroundings to discuss…  Well… there’s the rub: what exactly do they discuss?

These powerful men and women may be 'innocently enough' doing a little hob-nob and champagne; but, beneath the fluff, serious discussion will eventually entail.  It is here; however discreet it may be, that seeds are planted, seeds that will turn into power grabs and strategic alliances that will shape the future of our planet.

Scripture basis for the New World Order begins with a 10 leader or 10 king alliance. The first move of the Anti-Christ will be to over-throw 3 of these leaders and gain the following of the other 7.  Eventually, this 10 king alliance must form.  This New World Order, an alliance of geo-political powers and the formation of a world governance and economic system, is being pushed for more and more by those in power.  Pay attention to any new news that comes out regarding the New World Order from Bilderberg, any words spoken will often become action over the coming months and years.

Daniel 7:24
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise; and another shall rise after them (small horn); and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”

Power knows no bounds and can only be restrained by the vigilance of those oppressed and those who seek the freedom to live independent, with the ability to speak out their God given conscience without fear.  Restraining power's evil side by spreading Truth and Knowledge through the spoken and written word is the first step.

Bilderberg power masters meet in the US

Thus, Bilderberg is basically part of that very powerful Global Private Power Web; a “node” so to speak… And a very powerful one at that!!

It’s therefore no surprise to see that last year’s attendee list looks like a Who’s Who of banking, industrial and media CEO top brass: Deutsche Bank, HSBC, CitiCorp, European Central Bank, US Federal Reserve Bank, Lazard Frères, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Barclays, World Bank, Bank of Canada, AXA, Royal Dutch Shell, BP, Fiat, Nestle, Novartis, Coca-Cola, Airbus, Eni, Telecom Italy, ExxonMobil, Alcoa, Marks & Spencer, Die Zeit, The Economist.

As their website points out about Meeting participants, “about one-third is from government and politics, and two-thirds from finance, industry, labour, education and communications. Participants attend Bilderberg in a private and not an official capacity.”

European nobility regularly attend too: the Dutch Queen, the Spanish King and Queen, Norway’s Crown Prince…

Bilderberg’s high-power participants interact with, and are cross-represented on, the global private power web through membership and directorship in the Trilateral Commission, CFR, AEI, governments, corporations, banks, media and others.

Interestingly, also in attendance are founders and top executives of giant Internet management and intelligence gathering companies as Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and Microsoft.
Clearly, they run countries around the world, not voting citizens…

Spychips: Military wants Chips in Soldiers, Mark of the Beast?

And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

Revelation 13:16
Another development in the technological march toward a potential chip in us all.  We already have a national ID card in the works by the FBI.  RFID chips are becoming more mainstream.  As the internet becomes more and more integrated with our daily life, soon everything we do will be able to be monitored at the click of a button.  The Mark of the Beast will most likely be something very easily monitored and comfortable to put on the skin, perhaps not the chip, but rather a Liquid Tattoo:

A Tattoo would be a tough sell to be used on the forehead unless there is invisible ink which could make the sell much easier. The RFID chip technology is terrific but has to be surgically implanted, which might be too much work as the chip most likely will be placed into millions of bodies within a short time frame. A tattoo makes a whole lot of sense, and invisible to boot? Oh my, watch out. If the RFID technology is able to combine itself into the tattoo somehow (which may already be the case with this EES technology described below), and if this chip is able to be scanned like the eye or fingerprint and required by government to be used to both buy and sell in the marketplace or online, then we have it......exigo perfectus.
Also mentioned here is a new push by Dept. of Homeland Security to put RFID chips in every Drivers License:
The proposal, which was supported by Janet Napolitano, the chief of the Department of Homeland Security, would embed radio chips in driver’s licenses, or “enhanced driver’s licenses.”

“Enhanced driver’s licenses give confidence that the person holding the card is the person who is supposed to be holding the card, and it’s less elaborate than REAL ID,” Napolitano said in a Washington Times report.

REAL ID was a plan for a federal identification system standardized across the nation that so alarmed governors many states have adopted formal plans to oppose it. However, a privacy advocate today told WND that the EDLs are many times worse.

U.S. military developing spychips for soldiers

The U.S. military wants to plant nanosensors in soldiers to monitor health on future battlefields and immediately respond to needs, but a privacy expert warns the step is just one more down the road to computer chips for all.

“It’s never going to happen that the government at gunpoint says, ‘You’re going to have a tracking chip,’” said Katherine Albrecht, who with Liz McIntyre authored “Spychips,” a book that warns of the threat to privacy posed by Radio Frequency Identification.

“It’s always in incremental steps. If you can put a microchip in someone that doesn’t track them … everybody looks and says, ‘Come on,’” she said. “It’ll be interesting seeing where we go.”
According to a report at Mobiledia, the U.S. military’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency has confirmed plans to create nanosensors to monitor the health of soldiers on battlefields.
The devices also would report data to doctors. But privacy analysts have expressed concern that the implants could be used not just to monitor health but to keep track of and possibly control people.
DARPA describes the technology on which it is working as “a truly disruptive innovation,” which would diagnose, monitor vital states and “even deliver medicine into the bloodstream.”
According to LiveScience.com, “Solving the problem of sickness could have a huge impact on the number of soldiers ready to fight, because far more have historically died due to illness rather than combat.”
The report suggested that for special forces, “the practical realization of implantable nanosensors capable of monitoring multiple indicators of physiological state could be a truly disruptive innovation.”
Already being researched is the concept of nanosensors diagnosing disease.
DARPA expects to launch a second effort focused on treatment later this year.
Albrecht said the move is another step in the trip down the road of having every person implanted with a chip that might very well monitor health but also other areas of life.
Microchipping, she said, already is “par for the course” for pets in many parts of the nation, and that acceptance will make it easier to require it for people.
She said it was expected that captive audiences, such as prisoners and troops, would be the first subjected to the requirement, which would make it easier for the general populace to accept it as well.
“It’s interesting,” she said. “I’m stunned how this younger generation is OK. They don’t see the problem. … ‘Why wouldn’t everyone want to be tracked?’”
But she said Americans will have to decide to say no to incremental advances, or by the time officials finally roll out the idea of chips for all, whether they want them or not, it will be too late to decide
“The analogy that I draw is [that of a train], and if I’m in California and I do not want to wind up in New City, every stop brings me closer,” she said. “At some point I have to get off the train.”
Albrecht also has helped develop and launch a new project called StartPage, which now is handling some 2 million search requests per day.
The benefit of the page is its privacy. The site explains that every time a person uses a typical search program such as Google, “your search data is recorded.”
“Then they store that information in a giant database,” she explains.
As a result, corporate America and the government have access to “a shocking amount of personal information about you, such as your interests, family circumstances, political leanings, medical conditions and more
WND reported previously that owners of pets have reported cancer in their animals after microchipping. The report documented how a dog developed a highly aggressive cancer right at the point where a chip was embedded.
Albrecht told the story of another dog, a 5-year-old Yorkshire terrier named Scotty that was diagnosed with cancer in Memphis, Tenn. Scotty developed a tumor between his shoulder blades, in the same location where the microchip had been implanted. The tumor the size of a small balloon – described as malignant lymphoma – was removed. Scotty’s microchip was embedded inside the tumor.
Verichip, a major manufacturer of the microchip implants, touts the technology’s capability to identify a lost pet and enable its return home, while dismissing potential health risks.
“Over the last 15 years,” stated the VeriChip website, “millions of dogs and cats have safely received an implantable microchip with limited or no reports of adverse health reactions from this life-saving product, which was recently endorsed by the USDA. These chips are a well-accepted and well-respected means of global identification for pets in the veterinary community.”
WND also reported there were warnings about a radio chip plan that would allow identification of individuals by government agents simply by walking through an assembly.
WND also previously has reported on such chips when hospitals used them to identify newborns, a company desired to embed immigrants with the electronic devices, a government health event showcased them and when Wal-Mart used microchips to track customers.

Propaganda Ministry: US State Department

"WAR IS PEACE," "FREEDOM IS SLAVERY," "IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH."

The word free still existed in Newspeak, but it could only be used in such statements as "This dog is free from lice" or "this field is free from weeds." It could not be used in its old sense of "politically free" or "intellectually free", since political and intellectual freedom no longer existed even as concepts. and were therefore of necessity nameless.

News outlets have really already become propaganda machines, with bias so blatant as the sky is blue.  That said, the following article does not really reveal any new revelations.  I mean, does the Great Deceiver's White House really need to buy a media broadcast when they already have announcers at major TV networks that get chills up their legs just thinking about the President?  Perhaps, eventually these new bought media broadcasts will allow the announcers to get a pay raise, after all with ratings in the tank at certain outlets like MSNBC, they might need to raise some revenue if advertisers pay less.  Getting paid by the State Department or White House to broadcast what they are already broadcasting, maybe not half bad for them.

Obama assembling de facto propaganda ministry

The U.S. State Department is planning to “buy” media broadcasts, as the Obama administration assembles a de facto propaganda machine, according to documents that reveal the president’s plans moving closer to the 2012 election.

According to information WND located via routine database research, State’s Bureau of Public Affairs is soliciting the help of “global news coverage service providers” to create and disseminate department “news.”

The selected contractor will provide “full-time, 24/7 service,” the Statement of Work for the plan said.

“The department seeks a service provider for full, turn-key news-style global television coverage of ad hoc open press events featuring the Secretary of State and other officials across the United States and throughout the world,” according to the SOW, “and to send this content back to the department’s Washington headquarters…”

Upon receiving these privately packaged productions, the department, in turn, “will distribute this video content to media organizations through an array of traditional and new media platforms.”
Indeed, just as the department is awaiting contractor bids on the project, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s representative at the World Press Freedom Day in Tunisia heaped accolades upon UNESCO for hosting the annual event.

In a “tweet” from Tunisia, Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Esther Brimmer said, “I applaud the tireless, continuing work of #UNESCO in promoting the ideals of free and open media.”

Brimmer delivered remarks on behalf of the Obama administration during the opening ceremony, along with presenting a video speech from Clinton.

Referring to the Arab Spring demonstrations across the Middle East and North Africa, Clinton said, according to a prepared statement, “Voice by voice, text by text, Tunisians, Egyptians, Libyans and many others have dared to say what they believe and stand up for their own rights.

“Many others have dared to report on what they see happening, even when their lives were at risk.”
The State Department plan is twofold: to hire a single contractor to provide television news crew services on the one hand, and to provide transmission/streaming services as a corollary service.

“The television news crew category is both one and two-person crews, and includes one and multi-camera productions,” the SOW pointed out. “The transmission category includes both traditional fiber, terrestrial and satellite-based as well as file-based and Internet delivery platforms.”

The use of such government- as well as industry-funded broadcasts, known as “video news releases,” or VNRs, has increasingly come under fire in the past decade.

VNRs “are segments designed to be indistinguishable from independently produced news reports that are distributed and promoted to television newsrooms,” according to Source Watch, a Center for Media and Democracy project that chronicles the intersecting of public relations and public policy.
The General Accountability Office – the investigative arm of the U.S. Congress – in 2005 declared that several federal entities, such as the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Human Services, may have violated the law by disseminating VNRs as fact-based news reports.

Subsequent to the GAO’s findings, the “Stop Government Propaganda Act” was introduced to rein in and punish such activities; it died, however, after being introduced in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Proponents of VNR distribution claim that use of the video products is wholly legitimate. The Public Relations Society of America is that a VNR simply is “the video equivalent of a press release.”
The organization does advocate that industry members abide by certain parameters to ensure the integrity of VNR usage:
  1. Organizations that produce VNRs should clearly identify the VNR as such and fully disclose who produced and paid for it at the time the VNR is provided to TV stations.
  2. PRSA recommends that organizations that prepare VNRs should not use the word “reporting” if the narrator is not a reporter.
  3. Use of VNRs or footage provided by sources other than the station or network should be identified as to source by the media outlet when it is aired.
Despite congressional refusal to crack down on VNRs, the Federal Communications Commission issued a reminder to licensees of their sponsor-identification requirements under the Communications Act or 1934. Rather than holding liable the creators of the reports, the commission has placed the burden of disclosure on who ultimately airs the VNR.

“These rules are grounded in the principle that listeners and viewers are entitled to know who seeks to persuade them with the programming offered over broadcast stations and cable systems,” the FCC said.

When such VNRs are aired, “licensees and operators generally must clearly disclose to members of their audiences the nature, source and sponsorship of the material that they are viewing.”
Although the FCC continues to enforce these rules, the penalties arguably have been light.
Last year, for instance, it issued a forfeiture order to Fox Television Stations, Inc. when station affiliate KMSP-TV of Minneapolis used – but failed to identify – a General Motors-provided VNR during a news broadcast.

Among other VNR-related enforcement actions, in 2007 it imposed a $4,000 fine on Comcast Corp. for also violating the sponsorship disclosure rules. Comcast’s CN8 news affiliate in that case had aired a VNR produced on behalf of Nelson’s Rescue Sleep.

The FCC soon after separately slapped a $16,000 forfeiture against Comcast for airing two VNRs from General Mills and Allstate, respectively.

The State Department through May 21 is reviewing contractor proposals in response to the new solicitation. It did not disclose the estimated cost of the endeavor, for which it will award a year contract with four one-year options.

EU Super President the Future Anti-Christ?

The Anti-Christ, as described in Biblical prophecy in both Revelation and Daniel, comes to power as head of a 10 member coalition or kingdom, which many have believed to be the revived Roman Empire or the modern day EU.  That is why this new announcement is all the more intriguing--apparently leaders within the EU are plotting to create a new super president to oversee the EU.  The power combined with this position would rival the presidential powers of the United States' president! Perfectly laying the way for the Anti-Christ to rise to power.

The new leader would effectively be above the EU Council and EU Commission.

EU Commission:  Legislative body: Like Congress in the US, one commissioner from each nation.
EU Council:          Figure-head body comprised of the heads of each member nation.

Proposed President:  Executive power over both the committee and council.

This proposal would have to be ratified by a majority of the members of the EU Commission.

EU PLOT TO SCRAP BRITAIN

A covert group of EU foreign ministers has drawn up plans for merging the jobs currently done by Herman Van Rompuy, president of the European Council, and Jose Manuel Barroso, president of the European Commission.

The new bureaucrat, who would not be directly elected by voters, is set to get sweeping control over the entire EU and force member countries into ever-greater political and economic union. Tellingly, the UK has been excluded from the confidential discussions within the shady “Berlin Group” of Europhile politicians, spearheaded by German foreign minister Guido Westerwelle.

Opponents fear the plan could create a modern-day equivalent of the European emperor envisaged by Napoleon Bonaparte or a return to the Holy Roman Empire of Charlemagne that dominated Europe in the Dark Ages. They are concerned that David Cameron’s coalition Government is doing nothing to prevent the sinister plot. The secret talks were uncovered by Independent Labour peer Lord Stoddart of Swindon.

Scriptural Basis for the Anti-Christ:

A brief look at a few verses on the where we see the Anti-Christ in scripture.  The Anti-Christ is known as the Beast or Little Horn and one of his first acts in his rise to power is to subdue 10 kings that presently rule the earth.  Many speculate these 10 kings represent some formation of the EU due to a prophecy in Daniel chapter 2 which portrays a large statue of kingdoms to come.  The final kingdom on this statue is the feet--or the ten toes, thus the ten kings.  The last major empire was Rome and this prophecy states that this final empire will be a kingdom that 'was, was not, and yet shall be', alluding to the fact that this final empire will disappear and then come back to life.  The Roman Empire was, was not, and then came back again in the form of the EU.

Daniel 7:24
And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise; and another shall rise after them (small horn); and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”
In this verse below we see a fourth beast with 10 horns.  The small horn, speaking haughty words, rises up and conquers three of them.  This represents the antichrist that will come to power through the last kingdom of the Empires of Daniel prophecy found in chapter 2.  The 10 horns, 3 of which are subdued, are the 10 kings that make up the rulers of this final kingdom.  From this kingdom will come a global system of government that will rule over the earth prior to the return of Christ to set up the new heaven and new earth.

 Also:

Revelation 13:1
And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.

Daniel 7:7-8
“After this I was watching in night visions, and behold! A fourth beast, exceedingly terrifying, awesome and strong.  It has immense iron teeth, and it was devouring and crumbling, and trampling its feet what remained.  It was different from all the beasts that had preceded it, and it had ten horns.
From  Contender Ministries:
The EU today is made up of over 25 countries, however the ten nations of the Western European Alliance have a separate status as full members, while those nations who joined subsequent to the original 10 have only associate membership, or observer status.  This 10 nation military wing of the EU may very well fulfill the prophecy of the beast with 10 horns from Daniel 7:7-8 and Revelations 13:1.  On this beast’s back will ride the woman that symbolizes a global religious system that is to appear before Christ returns to set up His kingdom.

Forward: Obama Slogan & Socialism

Name a political slogan that has been used by Friedrich Engels, Leon Trotsky, Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin and German Nazi leaders?

Forward:  The new slogan for the Obama movement to further 'fundamentally transform America.'

New Obama slogan has long ties to Marxism, socialism

The Obama campaign apparently didn't look backwards into history when selecting its new campaign slogan, "Forward" — a word with a long and rich association with European Marxism.

Many Communist and radical publications and entities throughout the 19th and 20th centuries had the name "Forward!" or its foreign cognates. Wikipedia has an entire section called "Forward (generic name of socialist publications)."

"The name Forward carries a special meaning in socialist political terminology. It has been frequently used as a name for socialist, communist and other left-wing newspapers and publications," the online encyclopedia explains.

The slogan "Forward!" reflected the conviction of European Marxists and radicals that their movements reflected the march of history, which would move forward past capitalism and into socialism and communism.

The Obama campaign released its new campaign slogan Monday in a 7-minute video. The title card has simply the word "Forward" with the "O" having the familiar Obama logo from 2008. It will be played at rallies this weekend that mark the Obama re-election campaign's official beginning.

There have been at least two radical-left publications named "Vorwaerts" (the German word for "Forward"). One was the daily newspaper of the Social Democratic Party of Germany whose writers included Friedrich Engels and Leon Trotsky. It still publishes as the organ of Germany's SDP, though that party has changed considerably since World War II. Another was the 1844 biweekly reader of the Communist League. Karl Marx, Engels and Mikhail Bakunin are among the names associated with that publication.

East Germany named its Army soccer club ASK Vorwaerts Berlin (later FC Vorwaerts Frankfort). Vladimir Lenin founded the publication "Vpered" (the Russian word for "forward") in 1905. Soviet propaganda film-maker Dziga Vertov made a documentary whose title is sometimes translated as "Forward, Soviet" (though also and more literally as "Stride, Soviet").

Conservative critics of the Obama administration have noted numerous ties to radicalism and socialists throughout Mr. Obama's history, from his first political campaign being launched from the living room of two former Weather Underground members, to appointing as green jobs czar Van Jones, a self-described communist.

Kony 2012: Beating the WAR-Drums

An incredible phenomenon has been sweeping the web recently.  If you haven't seen it, you eventually will.  The short documentary: KONY 2012 in a nutshell is a piece put together by InvisibleChildren, a non profit advocacy group out of San Diego, CA that has pushed toward ending child slavery, human trafficking, and by the use of military force via the ending of the life one its  leaders, an African war-lord of Uganda named Kony.

Wait? A call for assassination? Military intervention?

Yes, and top it off with 100 million views on Youtube and 1million people pledging their support.

The major push of this film is to get America's youth on board and in the name of justice, to take out an evil mini-dictator in Africa.

Who is Kony?  From Wikipedia:
Joseph Kony (pronounced IPA: [koɲ];[6] born c. 1961)[1] is a Ugandan guerrilla group leader, head of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA). While initially enjoying strong public support, the LRA turned brutally on its own supporters, supposedly to "purify" the Acholi people and turn Uganda into a theocracy.[2]He ordered the abduction of children to become child-sex slaves and child soldiers.[20] An estimated 66,000 children became soldiers and two million people have been internally displaced since 1986.[21

Evil:  Mentality & Ignorance:

"This movie is being shown in middle schools, in grade schools.  I've got kids calling me and saying, we need to kill him, he's hurting children!"

Evil abounds in this world.  Right now in this world, consider this:
  1. Syria:
    • Civil War has broken out.  The UN estimates up to 10,000 civilians have died just over the last few months alone.  An evil dictator is killing his own people.
  2. Afghanistan:
    • America's war on terror is in its' 10th year in this country.  When will it end?  This war has already surpassed the war in Vietnam as the longest war in America's history.  3,000 American troops have died thus far, upwards of 40-50,000 Taliban fighters as well.  100,000 troops are still stationed in this country
  3. Iraq:
  4. Libya:
    • Civil War has ended the life of Muammar Gaddafi and 20-30,000 soldiers and citizens.
  5. Congo:
    • The deadliest war in modern African history was recently 'ended' and directly involved eight African nations, as well as about 25 armed groups. After beginning in 2003, by 2008, the war and its aftermath had killed 5.4 million people, mostly from disease and starvation.  This war was engineered and ran by multiple African kings.
  6. Palestine:
    • Terrorist group Hezbollah has been targeting Israel ever since its existence in 1948.  Hezbollah, which started with only a small militia, has grown to an organization with seats in the Lebanese government.  This terrorist group has been democratically elected! Their sole purpose is to destroy Israel.
  7. Iran:
    • Protesters were shot and killed in in 2009 in protesting the tyranny of the Iranian government over their lives.  The country is an Islamic republic ruled by the Ayatollahs and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who has professed that he will 'wipe Israel off the map' once he has atomic weapons.  He is building them as we speak.
  8. Rwanda:
  9. Nigeria
    • A war between Muslim and Christian factions have split the country in two.  Another suicide bomb killing 'just' 10.  Thousands, perhaps 10+ thousand have died just in the past few months in the name of violence.
  10. Mexican Drug War:  The war the never ends and has left thousands dead

America has been the defender of liberty since it's founding out of tyranny in 1776.  George Washington led the initial revolution, but upon stepping down as president in his farewell address he stressed the need to stay out of foreign wars in Europe.  The founders understood what war was all about, why? Because they experienced it first hand.  They saw the evil in this world and understood that in order to stay independent and free, we could not afford to lose millions of our young men and women on the battlefield.  Some could argue, we have become a great country in no small part because we have stayed out of wars longer than other rival economic super powers.

We've seen carnage in WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam, the Holocaust, Russian Stalin Communism, Pol-Pot's slaying of millions in the Khmer Rouge, and so many other bloody events.  Some would say that this is the history of mankind, a long period of war interrupted by brief periods of peace.

Evil exists.  Yes, the land of the free and the brave has done much to take out that evil and in effect saving the world not once, but twice from tyranny.  But, we fought in WWI and II not because we wanted to grab land or gain power, but rather to free citizens from the shackles of tyranny and by doing so protect our lands from those chains ever coming upon us.

We are fighting for freedom right now in the longest lasting war in America's history, Afghanistan, surpassing even Vietnam's long length.  We have troops in over 100 countries around the world.  We could be at any moment engaged in yet another conflict in Iran.

Fighting for freedom is a noble cause, and when wrapping it in a nice 27 minute video full of passionate appeals from the children, it appears even nobler.  But to fight a war comes at a cost, a cost that can not be so easily explained in 27 minute sound bites.

Why is it that the same anti-war and anti-bush celebrities are now joining in on this call to end this rebel's power and now advocating assassination?  and why Kony of all people?  Where is the Ugandan government in all this, don't they have an interest in ending this evil in their own country?

Should we always be eliminating evil in the world with war? Why is it that America is seemingly all alone when we go to war? Why are we the last ones to leave? Why is our defense budget greater than the rest of the world combined? Too many questions to explain to the children.  Rather, should we kill a bad guy? Ah, that's better. I can understand that.

Perhaps we should have a campaign with little kids waving signs saying: "Communism has claimed over 100 Million lives over the last generation, Kill the Chinese Dictator"  or "Military draft for the restoration of freedom all over the world!"

But then, that war may be too expensive, or difficult to do, or ruffle too many feathers--that's right, we just want to live in peace.  We can't do anything militarily with China, that might cause a real war where millions would die.  Oh.

We are blinded in America by our greed, our pride, our arrogance.  We think that we can take evil out of the world while it is still lodged in our own heart. Abortion anyone? How many millions around the world, even now with China's one-child policy have been silenced this way?   When God is forgotten, evil manifests itself.  We have moved away from Him in America.  Evil will only increase without his hand on our society.  War is not the answer, God is.  Yes, we need to protect the innocent and stand for freedom around the globe, but we need to consider the costs and consider the motives for these actions.

Perhaps we should get our house in order.  Perhaps we should get the log out of our own eye first.
