Living with Purpose

Return to living out a life of victory in Christ, establishing your thoughts and actions according to the power that is at work within you and the passion that was given for your soul.

We only have so much TIME.

It is so easy to simply stare off into the distance and watch as your future, past, and present dissolve into one meaningless blur. Your perception of time though and time itself though can change and as Einstein pointed out in his space-time continuum, is relative to your position in space. Time occurs not as logically and straightforward as we perceive it be. For example, we see the small effects of this happening in airplanes as clocks have been shown to tick slower at higher speeds and higher altitudes than on earth.

I think the same applies to how we experience time in our mortal bodies. We experience time in proportion to our age; a ratio of the years we have lived to the amount of years we have left to live. Say for example 2 individuals, one 25 yrs old and the other 50 yrs old, with both estimated to live to 100. The 50 year old would experience time at a 100% increase from that of a 25 year old---50% to 25%.

This is mostly conjecture and given the fact I am no Physicist, I digress. The point here is that we need to measure our time and watchful to make the best use of our time.

Put off Laziness-----> Put on Diligence (Proverbs 6:6-11)
"Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise,
Which, having no captain, overseer or ruler,
Provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.
How long will you slumber, O sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep---
So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man.
Put off Complacency--->Put on Zeal (Revelation 3:19)
Speaking to the Lukewarm church, "Therefore be zealous and repent."
Other synonyms of zealous are eager and discipline. Thus be Disciplined! Take account of every day you live.
